NSO Document Verification

Is there a sticky available for this process. It's confusing me and I need to explain this to my wife.

What I understand so far is that the Embassy will receive everything from the NVC, including the original BC, Marriage Cert, CENOMAR, and NBI Clearance.

The Embassay sends these or some of these to the NSO for verification before the scheduled interview.

Beneficiary pays P650 at Metrobank and texts Delbros (but should also probably fax them with the same info, too)

The NSO tells the Embassy that the documents are GOOD

At the interview, the Beneficiary shows proof of payment to Delbros for the verification.

Payment should be made one month before the interview.

That's it???

You know, this might be strange but- the CEMONAR...

I remember needing it at the Embassy when I got the Affidavit for Legal Capacity to marry....but I don't remember submitting it with ANY documents for this visa process...

Do CR-1/IR-1 Spouse Visa applicants even NEED a CENOMAR??? Or is that only for Fiance visas??

Am I even going to need to worry about them verifying documents?

I will pay for it but I don't think I need to worry about them actually doing it, right?

Should my wife bring her CENOMAR to the Embassy anyway?

I'm a CR-1/IR-1 Spouse Visa- do we even need to worry about this? I keep seeing this in conection with K-1s.... not my case....

There are CR1/IR1 cases here who have been on AR for 2months becoz of document verification (edp333, roserick) so Yes, your wife still needs to pay doc. verification.

So if the NVC doesn't have the CENOMAR, how will the NSO get it. I guess what I'm trying to ask is: This document verification: who requests the documents? The NSO? The USEM? Does my wife send these to the NSO directly? Will the NSO get the documents from the USEM that they DO have and request the rest from my wife?

That's what I'm trying to figure out and I don't think there is a sticky that addresses that.

I know my wife has the CENOMAR, I just need to know what she is supposed to do with it and when...

I would like to say yes but the CENOMAR is actually the NSO form that the US embassy verifies. In k1's case, it is to verify that we have never been married before.. in K3's, CR1/IR1's maybe it is to verify that they have only been married to one guy/gal (the petitioner) and not married to any other person.

Upon payment, DELBROS will inform the embassy that your fiancee have paid.. then USEM will send a verification request for her back to DELBROS, which they in turn forward to NSO. The NSO will then check your fiancee's record and then they will send an updated CENOMAR to the USEM which will serve as the verification result.

So if the NVC doesn't have the CENOMAR, how will the NSO get it. -The NSO have your wife's name on their record (data base), they will only need your wife's name and birthdate (which are all in your petition application form) to trace her file.

I guess what I'm trying to ask is: This document verification: who requests the documents? The NSO? The USEM? Does my wife send these to the NSO directly? Will the NSO get the documents from the USEM that they DO have and request the rest from my wife? -The USEM makes the verification request upon payment. Your wife only needs to pay the doc. verification fee at any metrobank branch and then follow the steps outlined on the guide.

That's what I'm trying to figure out and I don't think there is a sticky that addresses that.

I know my wife has the CENOMAR, I just need to know what she is supposed to do with it and when... -even if your wife has her own copy of her CENOMAR the embassy will still need to do their own verification. She doesn't need to submit her cenomar copy before interview.

You know, this might be strange but- the CEMONAR...

I remember needing it at the Embassy when I got the Affidavit for Legal Capacity to marry....but I don't remember submitting it with ANY documents for this visa process...

CENOMAR is just needed when applying for marriage license.

Do CR-1/IR-1 Spouse Visa applicants even NEED a CENOMAR??? Or is that only for Fiance visas?? I just interviewed 2 days ago, gone the whole process(almost), no CENOMAR needed.

Am I even going to need to worry about them verifying documents? No need to worry if the marriage is authentic, they (USEM) just have to verify the marriage at NSO.

I will pay for it but I don't think I need to worry about them actually doing it, right?I paid Doc verification, Php650 together with paying the DELBROS (for delivery of VISA right after the interview last June 12.Some pay in advance, see other forums how to pay in advance for doc verification and DELBROS.

Should my wife bring her CENOMAR to the Embassy anyway? no, CENOMAR not needed for CR-1 (I'm CR-1)

I hope it helps..:)
