hey guys we (Phil and Adel) just want to fill in all VJers that Adel finally got her visa approved today after her interview! we would like to thank VJ for being there to answer some questions we had in mind, and we hope to hear more from you guys i the future, we'll keep in touch!

to all those who were with me today in the USE (though i'm not sure who were VJers there), i want to congratulate you,us, guys again. and to those who will have their interview in the future, Good luck and God bless, just go to your interview with trust in your genuine relationship, your love for each other and of course prayers. i just don't know what to say, im so ecstatic and so joyful, thankful, grateful! ahhh!! all the good feelings i could say but no words can express how happy i am fially for getting my visa approved. me and phil worked hard for this. you guys, me and phil have been together for almost 4 years now (and lasting :P ) and geeze, it's just awesome to finally be given something we had been wishing for for so many years now.

well i guess i'll make a brief statement of my experience today so i could give some advice and tips, it's the least i can do to thank VJ for being there to answer some of our questions.

i live in Makati, pretty close to Manila but i still got there at like 545am (apptment at 7am) because we were adviced to be there an hour before your interview appointment. they let the 6aminterviewees get in the lies first and all the other applicants were advised to stay by the waiting area. we waited for the security guards to call the 7am interviewees, they called the IMMIGRANT VISA applicants, but note that even K1/K3 is a non-immigrant visa, you are still under the Immigrant visa section so when they call out the immigrant visa applicants to form in line, K applicants should go with them.

well everything was pretty painless. someone here from VJ stated her experiences and steps one by one so i guess ima just do a quick brush.

Inside the Immigrant visa section (right wing as soon as you enter a door from passing the security)

1. prepare your 2 copies of DS 156, DS 157 (one machine validated by the bank and the other one that's not), DS 156-K. Some girls with me earlier got delayed from getting their stub because they left some items blank, DO NOT leave items blank, if you dont have any answer for any question just put N/A. also, some forgot to sign their forms, so make sure you sign the forms everything there that asks for your signature. another thing, GLUE/PASTE your pictures already on the DS 156 forms, because some girls with me crammed because they thought they did not have to glue/paste them yet.

the security guards and some staff will guide you on where to go and if its your turn to be on the line so when you are asked to go to the line already make sure you have those papers already. the staff will ask you those, check them and will give you a stub. NOTE: DO NOT LOSE YOUR NUMBER. it's a small piece of paper but really important.

2. go back to your seat and listen attentively as your name is being called out for finger scanning. proceed to the window where you are told to go to.

3. go find a seat. i recommend to find a spot nearby the front area so you can easily see the queue board where numbers being served are being flashed. it was a long wait for us but in the end it'll be worth waiting for right? well at this point in time you will be waiting so you wil be PRE-SCREENED. these pre-screeners were mostly Filipinos. anyways, they asked for my birth certificates, NBI clearance, and CENOMAR. they also asked for the wage forms and income tax returns of my fiance. she asked about how and when did we meet, who is my petitioner, how do we communicate and asked for the proofs of our relationship. oh! and also when did the romantic relationship start. i prepared lots and lots of pictures but she did not get even a single from me because my fiance sent a lot already when she sent the I-129F petition. anyways i still recommend taking some pictures with you, it's important.

4. i was told to go back to my seat. this time it was a longer wait, almost fell asleep and believe it or not my legs were already hurtng because it was just sitting there, i mean i was not even stretching or anything and it was just feeling tired. i still do not recommend though taking some books or any past-time-boredom-killers because you would have to pay attention really well if your numbers being flashed on the board already. well not unless you have a very good multitasking ability wherein you can enjoy reading your book, mag, newspaper etc., while checking the board looking if your numbers being flashed already. don't worry, every flashing comes with a beeping tone, but still though, give this whole day doing your best, it's for you and your fiance/e. all the waiting is going to be worth it.

5. finally my number was flashed, and the consul was just a great cool man. he was really nice and you'll feel really comfortable with them. i was right next to the other interviewee and interviewer and i could overhear them talking, and i could hear how nice the consul on the other side of the window was. it was really fast for me though. by the time i was told that "well, everything looks perfect." i already whispered in my head "thank you Lord. you are just the greatest." i was just asked how and when did we meet, what does my fiance do now, whats his job where does he go for school, how many times had he visited me, the other 2 US visas i was already issued. TIP though, smile to the interviewer, be nice and be confident, i mean, if you're nervous do not show it, trust in yourself, you were already there and you made it there. AND, say thank you for every good words they say about you and your relationship.

6. you will be told to go back to your seat and wait for your name to be called again. when you hear your name, proceed to the window where you are told to go and give your metrobank receipt that you furnished from paying for the document verification fee. theyll tell you the final instructions for the visa delivery and will be told to go to the DELBROS section.

DELBROS SECTION. fill out the form and pay! you're done! congratulations! Go back home and spread the good news to everyone you love, especially to your fiance/e, it would wipe out their long tiring day of work. ;)

ONE THING: PLEASE EAT BEFORE YOUR INTERVIEW. a few hours of waiting, thinking, and getting excited will make use of your energy, so pack some glucose in your body! hehe me a nurse so yeah... INGATZ folks! God bless!! :D
