After being approved by USCIS and waiting 2 weeks and a half I called NVC to see if they received my application but when I punch in my receipt no. starting with EAC, they tell me that they have not received anything with that receipt no., but two days later my fiance received his packet from the embassy, is there a different receipt no you are supposed to use with NVC other than the one they give you in the USCIS and if my fiance received his packet then does that must mean NVC received our stuff right??????

Bajari,

The DoS assigns it's own case number.

As you've found out, approved I-129f petitions typically pass through the NVC so quickly that there's not much need to follow up with the NVC.

You can not get the status of your K-1 case with the NVC using their automated system. If you want to find out it's status, you must talk to an operator.

If your fiance already has his packet 3, then you are done with the NVC. The NVC assigned case number should be in the packet the consulate sent out.
