can anyone tell me what did you take along at the oath ceremony?

I had a traffic violation for "following 2 close" plea no contest and paid the fine...should I take that?

Thank you very much

no answers??? :(:blink::help::help::help:

That has been one complaint about many people in my state is that the DHS supplied plenty of money to double the size of our police departments even in our dinky little towns, and they have nothing better to do than to issue traffic violations even for the most insignificant traffic violations.

Our state as well as Illinois has that two second rule for following the guy ahead of you, man, they would have a blast on the Dan Ryan expressway in Chicago, because if you left more than two feet of space between your front bumper and the guys ahead of you rear bumper, a zillion cars will try to cut in ahead of you.

At 55 mp a vehicle travels at 80.66 feet per second, times two that's 161.66 feet between you and the guy ahead of you or over half the length of a football field. These rules are dumb anyway, as a fully loaded semi would take over 500 feet to stop and 160 feet just ain't enough, but in a vehicle like my Supra, can stop in that speed in less than 80 feet, yeah, I would tend to give them a contest with the final outcome of any traffic violation skyrockets your auto insurance cost.

At 25 mph, that distance between vehicles cuts down to 70 feet, and you never see that even in out town at rush hour, ten feet is more like it and who is the brain that everybody in the USA has to be at the same place at the same time? What a waste of fuel and time! You're right they would get a contest from me as under the present administration the USA is changing into a police state. But everyone is just going along with it like those idiots in Germany under Hitler. But they paid a huge price for that neglect and so will we.

But apparently this is a very minor violation and according to what ChrisR reported about his interview, the USCIS is not interested in minor violations like this and not even sure if you are asked for the oath, thought all that stuff was over with.

I personally met with our Senator Feingold this afternoon and had the opportunity to express a number of concerns. He is noted for the only senator to vote against the APA on the basis that he was the only one that read it. But unfortunately, many of his responses is that is his only one out of a hundred senators. Unless Americans get off their ### and take an interest in how this country is being run, we will become a police state, got to get that number of more like 51 in a hundred and better yet, 67 in a hundred. My wife as an immigrant also had a chance to meet and talk with him and is taking a strong interest in our political system. We need a lot more people like this to get back to our supreme law of the land.

All you need to go for the oath is your appointment (or Oath or 797NOA letter); Your ID (Drivers license) and your greencard. Don't worry about traffic citations or such stuff, they are irrelevant and immaterial for this purpose. Good Luck
