I have a question and was hoping someone on here has some knowledge or help!

My husband applied for asylum back in 2005 and it was recently denied however in March of last year we applied for AOS through marriage and are in the process of going to court. (Removal proceeding...due to not registering for NSEERS) We are now being told by some that the outcome of him asylum case (which was denied due to inconsistances in his written statement and his statements at his interview) is going to affect the outcome of the AOS. We are due to go in front of a judge and are working on a lawyer at this time, but have been told by a family lawyer that with the evidence we have that our AOS should be adjusted by the judge. So I quess my question is, is the outcome of the asylum going to affect the AOS outcome.

Any help will be very much appreciated, it seems that we have been kicked down so many times and now my husband is talking about just returning home....and that would most likely mean that I would be staying here in the state. (None of that is written in stone yet though) well I guess that is all for me for now, hopefully someone will have a answer. Take care and thanks for reading.

Melissa
