I'll start us off with a couple - the first for the Brits....

Sausage Rolls (Dead easy)

1 Pack of any frozen Puff Pastry

1 tube pack of Jimmy Dean Sage - Premium Pork Sausage (I found this in Walmart & United)

Salt & Pepper

Milk

Method

Thaw the Puff Pastry and then roll out on surface, cut it right across the width into 1/3rds. Squeeze the sausage into your palm and shape enough to almost fill the centre 1/3rd of each pastry section. Place it onto the centre 1/3rd of the pastry and salt/pepper to taste.

Fold one side of the pastry over the sausage mix and then brush milk onto it. Bring the other side of the pastry up and over the one you just brushed with milk. It will now stick to this, then brush milk all over the whole thing and push the edges down a little to resemble a sausage roll, but leave a bit open in the centre.

Lightly oil a baking tray, whack in the oven on 325 for about 35 mins, you might need to turn them over once to stop sticking.

Enjoy - they taste just like authentic Brit Sausage Rolls!!

Banana Nut Bread Takes 15 mins to prepare, very easy

1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened

1-1/2 cups sugar

2 eggs

1 cup mashed ripe bananas (2 medium)

2 tablespoons milk

1 teaspoon vanilla or rum extract

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

3/4 cup chopped pecans

In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each

addition. Stir in the bananas, milk and extract. Combine flour, baking soda and salt; stir

into banana mixture just until moistened. Fold in nuts. Pour into a greased 9-in. x

5-in. x 3-in. loaf pan. Bake at 325° for 65-75 minutes or until a toothpick inserted

near the center comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes before removing from pan to a wire

rack.

Yield: 1 loaf (10 slices).
