my husband has not recieved his interview letter in India and I sent him a copy of the one I recieved 14 days ago. The Chennai website says the VFS fees have to be paid 10-15 days before the interview and VFS says you have to have the letter to pay them. The interview is JUne 6th, only 9 days from now. I have already sent email to VFS with unsatisfactory responce (you can pay fees with passport and interview letter...I dont think they read the whole thing :bonk: ) and I have not received responce from chennai yet. So here I am asking those who have gone through this before, what is the minumum number of days to pay the fees?????? :help:

02/09/2008 mailed I-864 packet priority mail

02/11/2008 IV Fee bill generated and paid IV bill using experimental shortcut

02/19/2008 recieved IV fee bill

03/24/2008 DS-230 generated (NVC operator informed me)

04/21/2008 CASE COMPLETE/ interview date JUNE 6th

06/06/2008 AP

12/15/2008 case returned for further review

10/01/2009 USCIS REAFFIRMS APPROVAL CASE SENT TO DOS

11/09/2009 CASE BACK IN CHENNAI

12/10/2009 2ND INTERVIEW rescheduled twice, now Feb. 12th 2010

02/19/2010 Passport with IR-1 visa recieved

the VFS information deals with documents and all documents are submitted to NVC now, and what about the information on the chennai website...

indian heart i wish i can help you, but i have not got an interview date yet i am hoping july..

about VFS, so ur husband has not received the interivew letter from you yet in the mail? he should get it soon...

if not why dont u scan a copy, maybe he can use that pay his fees.??

hope this help

and if possible could you please share the chennai interview and how it went for yall after.. since i am right behind u at chennai

12-12-08 emailed chennai embassy asking status of our case, and got email to send passport..

12-19-08 VISA ISSUED! in hand!

12-25-08 hubbys arrival! smooth POE!

1-16-09 green card arrives

1-27-09 SSN card in mail

That is our plan if the mail is not recieved by friday...he is leaving for chennai on the 1st to take care of medicals and all. We will certainly share interview experiece when completed.

can any one tell us what would happen if VFS fees are not paid????
