Does jealousy vary across cultures?

I'm from the same culture as my spouse and we're from the same kind of culture that doesn't permit premarital sex and if you do partake in that you lose eligibility in marriage with any "successful money making high class family - virgin" If he's from arab culture like myself I can promise he won't forget the past for a long long longgggggg time. However, culture probably isn't a factor in love he could be from anywhere and just be very protective. It usually ends up ugly and sad in the end. Although some people wear jealousy out if they see love is more than that. It's rare. I'm sure you don't want him to get mad wit you after an argument and run off to a female and try to "get revenge" from you bec of your past

Does this jealousy thing extend into the animal world, our German Shepard is sure jealous, can't even hug my wife in his presence. Jumps up and squeezes in between us, he is pretty tall on his hind legs, so we have to do a three way hug.
