Hi all...

My husband went to Virginia DMV (@Gallows Rd ) this morning to renew his driver license that expired today (5/20). The good news ... it was renewed ( good for 11 months ). He just show them his I-797C ( AOS receipt ), at first the lady told him they dont accept that kind of document but said she will ask someone. There you go...she approved it. :thumbs: Thanks god. :star::dance:

AOS TIMELINE :

4/4/08- AOS package mailed out

4/6/08- AOS package received at Chicago

4/10/08 - Case received /pending

4/14/08 - NOA receipt received

4/19/08 - Biometric appointment letter received

5/3/08 - Biometric done ( Alexandria, Virginia )

5/6/08 - EAD touched ( no email )

5/7/08 - Case status shows up online

5/9/08 - Received email regarding AOS case transferred to

California Service Center .

5/14/08 - Received email AOS case is now pending at CSC.

5/15/08 - AOS touched

5/20/08 - Renewal of Driver License approved ( I-94 expired 5/20/08 ).

6/6/08 - AP approved

6/13/08 - EAD card production ordered

6/17/08 - Received email EAD card mailed out

6/18/08 - AOS touched

6/18/08 - EAD card received

6/19/08 - AOS touched

6/23/08 - AP touched... still waiting for the card to arrive

6/28/08 - AP card received

7/29/08 - Received email green card approved/card ordered.

8/2/08 - Green card received

Thats great, mine was only for about 11 months as well when I renewed.

K-1 journey, AOS/EAD and ROC in my timeline

2011 March 31 - Sent off Naturalization pkg overnight to Texas

2011 April 1 - Arrived in Texas at 10:21 am

2011 April 1 - NOA (rec'd via snail mail April 8)

2011 April 7 - Cheque cashed

2011 May 5 - Biometrics (letter rec'd via snail mail April 15)

2011 May 9 - Placed in line for interview scheduling

2011 June 13 - Rec'd yellow letter (no change in status online)

2011 June 23 - Rec'd text that my case has been scheduled for interview

2011 August 1 - Interview (rec'd via snail mail June 27) PASSED

2011 August 3 - Rec'd email that my case has been scheduled for Oath

2011 September 1 - Oath ceremony (rec'd snail mail Aug 5)

2011 September 1 - All done, yeah.
