Okay guys,

I've read your threads about waiting forever for approvals .... no K3 approvals coming out of VSC ...... K1's practically being wizzed through hardly touching the ground (mostly) ..... contacting senators and congressman .... uselelss phonecalls to USCIS ..... Immigration Lawyers doing sod all but lining their pockets ...... and all the pain suffering going on.

I've got another idea .... it's only an idea and I haven't researched it, but it could be worth a try.

Has anyone started to look at Tort Lawyers???

Mental Suffering in English Common Law come under the part of law called Tort .... English Common Law is what American Law is based on ... and the Americans started the whole suing for the slightest thing phenomena

There are Tort Lawyers who specialise in suing government agencies ..... you'll need to Google, but you'll find them.

I have no idea of the implications or the boundries for it in the US, so it really is just an idea.

However, if it's possible, with the amount of you on here, a mass tort could be a thought.

There may just be one lawyer out there with a big enough set of balls to do this .... but you'll only need to find one to get the ball rolling.

Failing that .... what about a mass lawsuit for discrimination K1 vs. K3 ..... or K1 vs. CR1/IR1 ...... or unmarried vs. married ????

I know that not all K1's go through quickly, but there is such a majority, that a mass case based on discrimination could be possible.

If this hasn't been done before, then maybe it's time to consider blazing a trail????

By the way, impossible is not a word I understand.

Sarah,

Im in. Will do internet searching this weekend. I've had enough, Im sick to death of filers, untouched, not apporved such as jonbless , my heart aches for him, its a damn shame what this person is going thru, a human can only stand so much pain, and he can not stand anymore.

Just cause we are married, we get passed up. We have established a marriage, we have no 90 period to marry, we send more then a few pictures and a few mushy, steamy emails. We send joint utility bills, banking information, joint credit card ,life insurance polcies, bills for weddings, rings and etc. and we wait and wait, and its not fair. WHY?????????????????? We show PROOF of a established realtationship. We dont have option to change our mind within 90 days.

I see its another sleepless night, time to start up coffee pot and get to work. Will email you tomorrow Sarah.

Love ya all K3 & CR-1 filers.

I agree that something needs to be done. Since the immigration topic (albeit quasi related to ours) is still hot, I am thinking of people sending their local media to complain about the issues. Nothing is going to happen unless the issue is brought to the mass. I'm even wanting to send a note to the ACLU to complain about unfair discrimination practices by USCIS. How is it that married US citizen not treated fairly and not prioritized?

Great idea, lets sue their ###

Here is my story. I've lived problem free life, payed my taxes. One day I decided to marry this girl. But to do so would require her to come to US of A, and so it started. My problem free live turned in to free problems from USCIS! Sure things turned to unsure, certain dates turned to aproximation within months. All logical thinking was out the door, as I filed my papers withing famous Vermont Centre!

After letting the brandy wear off with some sleep, I'm thinking the idea I wrote last night while under the influence is actually a bloody good one.

You guys all want accountability, well, this is the easiest way to get it .... and maybe a little bit of compensation too

Maybe instead of having immigration lawyers, you should all go for one who sues for emotional distress, and get them to send a letter to the service centre to find out where your approval is ..... as it's causing emotional distress to my client .... once they are made aware that it's an issue, they'll be screwed and it could possibly leave them wide open for a lawsuit.

However, discrimination is something that they cannot wiggle out of .... married vs. unmarried would be easy, the evidence we have is overwhelming.
