So my wife and I filed her AOS in Feb/March and she has just received her work authorization card and an interview date. She arrived in America on a K-1 Visa.

I am confused because I was under the impression that we only had to attend a single interview. Now it seems we may have two and that I will be interviewed as well.

What can I be expected? Sorry for the redundancy.

Well, they are going to ask you for proof of marriage, and affidavits of support. You are going to have to bring all the documentation that is noted on the interview letter that you just received. Bank statements, photos, letters of support, insurance policy w/her name, health insurance w/her name as beneficiary, current income tax 2007 in case you filed as married filing jointly or separated, bottom line, they will ask for documentation that proof the validity and truthfulness of your marriage. They may even question you on various matters like how you met, how's your relationship, family, friends etc.. Search on this forum for "interview experiences" and you will find many many stories coming from people like me that have been already interviewed. Pay attention to the month threads, like december, nov, october 07 filers because many times they describe their interview experiences in those threads (I know I did on my october 07 thread)

This interview will determine the approval or denial of her AOS, this is even more important than her K-1 interview back home. Don't overstress since all depends on the interviewer, in our case he just requested marriage and birth certificates from both of us, my last tourist visa, and our last income tax. He didn't question anything else but just the questions your wife had to answer while filing the forms like if she is communist, polygamist, etc.. (all answers are NO)..

Good Luck!
