How can they call it? The polls just now closed.

Based on exit polls. If the margin is great enough, they can fairly accuratly call it for a candidate.

They better watch it. I seem to remember other states that were called on exit polls and they were totally wrong. Not saying this is the case here but still, lets wait for the results.

Its possible, but not very probable.

Exit polls for NC: http://www.cnn.com/ELECTION/2008/primaries...s/epolls/#NCDEM The margins are pretty large in most categories.

Exit polls for IN: http://www.cnn.com/ELECTION/2008/primaries...s/epolls/#INDEM Shows Hillary will likely win, but with smaller margins.

A split with Clinton in double digits in IN will still keep Hillary in the race. Chaos will continue.

Gary, did you know that NC has 115 delegates to IN's 72? That's hardly an even split. Obama will cushion his delegate lead after tonight as well as being closer to 2,025 needed.

Sorry that this won't be the drawn out slug fest you hope it will be. I predict Hillary will bow out within the next couple of weeks.

Proportional Steven. They will essentually split NC and IN. Neither one will get a clear win. The chaos will continue.

It seems that he'll win by a larger margin in NC than she might in IN. hat leaves him with more delegates today while she's the one needing more and there's a good chance that he'll erase whatever popular vote gain she got out of PA. So, what's left of her case?
