i have a question about the I-864... where it asks about the people in the household.. technically my mother has her own income so she isn't my dependent.. i did however claim her on my 2007 tax return.. she didn't have access to her ss checks at that time.. we all live together though... i put my 2 kids on the I864, myself, my husband(former fiance).. the optional box says you can put your parent on there if you are using their income, but i am not gonna do that unless uscis tells me we need a co-sponsor(then i will do the I864a)... so there are 5 people in the house.. but i will not use her income so do i have to put her on the form at all.. it's really confusing to me.. and will immigration look at my tax return to see that she was a dependent on my return... i just don't want to get denied.. that would really be devastating :crying: ... thanks

also, his first name and middle name weren't spelled right on the initial I-129.. my mistake... i realized it when he got here.. but the visa, passport, birth certificate, and military certificate have the correct spelling.. it's different by one letter on the first and middle name.. i went to atlanta to correct that but i don't know if they have corrected it.. how do i tell them that it's a misspelling.. or do i even bring it up at all... thanks for all of your help visa journey...

Passage Revelation 19:11:

11And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.

God is realer and we are His sheep
which side are you on, CHOOSE, start moving your feet
choose JESUS and have ETERNAL PEACE" by GOD to me on 9/26/10 about 2am
Thank you Jesus!!!!

You only count persons on the I-864 that are YOUR dependents, you do not count your parents is they are not dependent on you. If you claimed a parent on your IRS return, then you count them as a dependent.

I live in same home as parents, I do not count them on I-864 as members of MY household.

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.
