Hi everyone, Is anyone here know how to deal about birth discrepancy mine doesn't have gender FEMALE, No entry ..I already did fixed it in my local registrar last April 9 but when i called up NSO its not yet on there records, i keep calling but still not on the records yet. The local registrar suggested me to just pick up in Manila my corrected BC since I'm going to go there, much more faster so i dont have to wait at least 3 months. I have here the transmitttal letter for my BC. Really dont know Manila cause I'm from Cebu and I would be staying in Manila for a week for Medical which in on May 7 and May 14 for my interview and in between I can go to NSO.Worse comes to worse for some reason if i really cant get my corrected BC is it a problem for my requirements? I only have here birth certificate but not yet corrected. I also have passport since i got it long time ago. Thanks for the help....

Hi,i have just got the copy of my annotated BC a few weeks ago.I went through the process of RA9048the Manila local civil registrar office was the one who sent the transmittal to NSO,they just gave me the finality,it includes the certification and the certified true copy of my BC with remarks on it,I hand carried and submitted it to NSO East Ave Area B,after they have checked everything, they asked me to pay at the cashier (125.00/copy)for my annotated BC copy ,i got my copy after 2weeks.

As for your case,as far as I know, your local civil registry office should be the one who'll send the transmittal to NSO,but if it's the finality, you need to submit it to NSO.usually, once you've requested for a copy of your annotated BC,it takes 2weeks.

I will go back there to get the copy of my annotated MC on May 6th.pm me if you need some info regarding this matter and i'll be glad to help you out :)

good luck
