Hello,

This is my first time posting. I am filing for CR1 for my husband who is residing in India. I have a few questions.

Is my husband's signature required on the G-325A form (Biographic Information)?

Do I send the original marriage certificate or a copy with the petition?

Affidavit of Support from family who attended the wedding-

Do I just send in the notarized letter from each or do I also attach a copy of their passport or a copy of a boarding pass?

Any help will be appreciated..............

California Service Center:

05/09/08: Sent I-130

05/16/08: NOA1

1. You fill out two G-325A -- one for you and one for your husband. Your husband's signature is required on his G325A

2. You just send a copy of the marriage certificate. You don't have to send any originals at this point.

3. You do not need Affidavit of Support form from your family members - just an affidavit stating that they were witness to the marriage. And you just

need to submit affidavit, not their passport copies.

For evidence of marriage, I had submitted a copy of marriage certificate, affidavit from 2 or 3 persons, and a few wedding photographs, and my petition was approved without RFE. If you have any additional evidence, I guess it would not hurt to send a copy along with your petition.

Hope this helps!

Hi,

My husband and I have a joint bank account in India (NRI account), could this be used as evidence of bona fide with our I130..

Thanks.

You can definitely use joint bank account in India as evidence of bona fide. It shows to USCIS that you have financial ties. You may find tips for what to send as evidence of bona fide on this IR1 Visa wiki link.
