believe it or not, we filed our papers around march and got our noa2 in aug. 28... and i did feel sad and a bit unfair too but i guess it depends on where you filed and who handle your case... back then because of the first IMBRA implementation everything back fired and cause a lot of delays (sheriff uling can attest that and so does ate luz lol... we filed in the worst time possible)... but i know also that it will come, and hang in there... i bet once you got your noa2 and the interview date, everything will be forgotten and seems like yesterday... we all feel the same (all the agony of waiting)... it will come in time hoping with no RFE and delays... good luck and God bless!!!

And some people wait for years. There are always exceptions to procedures at USCIS. Each journey has its own timeline, so try to be happy for those that get approved earlier.

Yes, I'm happy for those who got approved earlier but still you can't help not to be frustrated and really felt this is so unfair. They should apply the FIFO system. I mean First In First Out. sigh*

you may be referring to us...

we got approved really quickly, but you should understand the circumstances: i am in the united states navy, i have already had a much deeper background investigation than the government needs for a visa application, i have had numerous tests and procedures done to test my background...and i passed.

also, we had a lawyer walk through this with us, ensuring everything was filled out properly, and was sent to the right place with the right information and everything needed.

i would guess my personal background and job had a huge say in the matter. and our lawyer thinks so as well.

aside from that, i can only apologize that we were accepted so quickly while others are still waiting. i dont know your situation.

There is an expedite for Cuban petitions (as early as 7-14days from filing) and also military... but there are indeed ordinary folks that has been approved 18-21days after filing.... and yes it is unfair but sadly there is really no rhyme and reason to all this.

I am also a January filer and although I have filed at VSC I did develop good online friendship with other January filers at CSC.... We used to have a very active January filers thread which give birth to January VSC thread and January CSC thread. hope you could drop by even on the January CSC thread, they are a good source of support there: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=113125&st=660 ://http://www.visajourney.com/forums/i...125&st=660 ://http://www.visajourney.com/forums/i...125&st=660 . Just check on the others and also check your name on their list... there are many great people there.

Waiting is hard and the best way to survive it is to share and wait with people going through the same.

Blake (the guy who started the January CSC thread) have a good theory on the apparent slowdown on both centers for the past weeks.... and if his theory is right, we will hope to see floods of approvals starting next week or first week of may.

I have been hoping and praying that CSC will get their act together now and start kicking January CSC approvals as well as finishing off the remaining 2007 stranglers. I will continue to keep you guys in my thoughts and prayers.

May God be your continued source of strength. (F)

Congrats to all the quickly approved couples and may God speed the remainder of ours along the way.

Just because you are in the military(with no extenuating circumstances, i.e. deployment) does not necessarily mean a quick approval. I am a Major in the Army (and have numerous background checks) and I am still waiting for my NOA2, albeit only for about a month and a half. I am estimating on approval sometime in mid-May based off of most the timelines here on VJ.

I have always liked the Special Olympics Creed

"PLEASE HELP ME WIN, BUT IF I CAN NOT, LET ME BE BRAVE IN THE ATTEMPT"

Be happy for those who do get quick approvals.

Interview less than 3 months from filing. . unbelievable but true. . lucky lucky couple. The AOS process has the same different timelines. I saw a couple who applied last February and got their Biometrics appointment within 2 weeks while Joe and I had to wait for almost 2 months.

Some are indeed lucky :)

If you check the processing timelines, VSC has the fastest turn around for NOA2s, some as fast as 6 weeks. The real question then is why doesn't USCIS transfer some of the backlog from CSC? You would think that the powers to be in USCIS HQ Washington would see/notice the trend. But then we're asking a government agency to be efficient which is an oxymoron. Here's another thing, just remember that individual timelines are posted manually, so sometimes just consider the source. For those whose NOA2s were expedited, best wishes for all of them. In the meantime, most of us are still here...."for they also serve those who sit and wait".

What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us?
