This depends on USCIS sending the I-130 petition on to NVC for counselor processing, lately USCIS will hold the I-130 assuming that the K-3 will adjust status in the USA. READ: http://www.uscis.gov/files/pressrelease/PN_i-129f.pdf

According to new procedures, the petitioner may have to file I-824 to get the I-130 moved to NVC for CR-1 visa. If you do this you can either just not use the K-3 and wait for the CR-1 interview in foreign country, or travel to USA using K-3, and then have to return home to foreign country to interview for CR-1.

OR you can just travel to USA on K-3 and then file I-485 and adjust status here.

CR-1 interview is not much different than K-3, Medical requirements may be different, CR-1 needs vaccinations, where K-Visas for most consulates do not, K-Visas need vaccinations for adjustment of status later in the USA.

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.
