You got approved right? I wouldn't worry about it too much. You wouldn't believe all the little mistakes in my petition. Actually, I'm kind of pi$$ed about it. For example, they have her province listed as Ka Tay, when it should be Ha Tay. I have a suffix with my name. It has magically become part of my surname. I am referred to in the petition continually as "Mr. [surname] II" Arghhhhh! We still got approved.

When your fiancee shows up at the interview, I'm sure they will recognize her as a woman.

You should call/email the Consulate about this only because it could be used to cause you problems if they want to find something to cause you problems. If you bring it up, then it's unlikely they will. They will probably say it's not a big deal, since you can easily write a statement explaining it (and get one from the lawyer if the Consulate asks for it).

We had a found an error about Thi's mother's birth place which we tried to fix. I had emailed the Consulate several times (it took a couple of times to get them to understand what we were asking) and got them to write that it wasn't a problem but we should submit a statement explaining how it happened and bring her mother's original birth certificate to show the correct birth place to her interview. At the interview, no one asked for it and Thi forgot to give them the statement and show them the birth certificate. She got her visa anyway. I called after she had the visa to ask them if they still wanted the statement or see the birth certificate. The Vietnamese woman I was talking to, put me on hold then came back and said not to worry about it. Since Thi had her visa, the Consulate felt their part was over.
