Is there also a seminar that a K1 beneficiary has to attend to aside from the interview and medical exam to comply in the visa processing? If ever there is any, when that will be held in the whole process and how much to pay for that seminar? what is that seminar all about?

yes, there is a seminar we call that CFO seminar. u can attend that seminar before or after the interview... i forgot the website, u can ask the others about it...

yes, there is a seminar we call that CFO seminar. u can attend that seminar before or after the interview... i forgot the website, u can ask the others about it...

Yep, there is a seminar but it was not very informative or helpful. The information provided was very basic and mostly common sense. They showed a thirty minute video about an extremely cruel man who made his wife a housekeeper. When I came here, I didn't encounter any of the situations that were discussed at the seminar. The seminar didn't teach me anything that I can use now. This site is more useful than the seminar I attended. The reason why I attended the seminar was I saw a small paper with ads of the seminar. The Consul nor the people of the Embassy didn't mention about it. The Immigration people at the airport didn't even asked for my certificate of attendance of the seminar. I already applied for my Adjustment of Status, our lawyer did not bother to ask that either.

I would suggest that your fiancee will ask this matter to the people at the embassy.

11-01-07- My fiance got a letter from NVC that within 2 weeks Manila Consulate will send my Packet

11-20-07- Date of my Packet, actually the real one was earlier but it was sent somewhere, good thing my Fiance arrived to spent Thanksgiving day in Phils and we checked the status in Embassy.

11-23-07- Medical though the exact date was Nov. 29..

12-06-07- Interview

12-16-07- Visa in hand

01-16-98- Attended CFO

01-18-08- Arrived in USA , POE-Guam

03-16-08- Wedding

AOS

04-17-08- Submitted the AOS

04-24-08- NOA

05-13-08- Biometrics

05-27-08- Transferred to California

06-14-08- EAD card received

07-21-08- Date of AOS approval but got the letter July 24

No Interview, No RFE and Additional Vaccination( just used the SLEC medical docs)

07-22-08- Date of Permanent REsident CARd , got it July 29

07-31-08- apply for SSN

08-05-08-SSN delivery

YES ANY FILIPINO LEAVING THE PHILIPPINES NEED TO ATTEND THE CFO. THEY ARE CAN DO THIS BEFORE OR AFTER THE INTERVEIW. WILL NOT GET THE STAMP IN PASSPORT UNTIL THEY GET THIER VISA. GOOD LUCK AND GOD BLESS.
