It could just be my inexperience. But, I think someone is bound to ask...

What do you mean by short cut?

Me: I get a bill in the mail, write a check, fill in the return statement (if necessary) and mail it back. Does that make me 'old-fashoned'?

Firstly your profile shows CR-1/IR-1 so I assume this is visa fee bill from NVC. From recent posts NVC is taking payments online, that can save you some time.

https://ceac.state.gov/CTRAC/Invoice/signon.aspx

Note, visas from the consulate in China is not a quick thing, once the petition leaves NVC you are looking at 3-4 months until consulate sends packet to spouse in China.

Also since your profile shows CR-1/IR-1 this post has nothing to do with K-1 visa process, post should be in CR-1/IR-1 forum.

Lastly for great support for understanding consulate in China, you may want to use "A Candle Love" that site specializes in Chinese immigrations issues. http://www.candleforlove.com/
