Assembling package questions

Hello everyone,

I'm still in the process of getting everything ready to send on Monday. Here's a couple more questions I have. Thanks in advance for all your help!

1. I have 3 letters of affidavit (notarized). Should I send the originals of this or just copies?

2. I have many pages and a couple photos. Do I just use a large paper clip or something to hold all the pages? holepunch them and use something (clip?) to hold everything together? And just paper clip the photos to the back page or front cover sheet? I'm unsure.

According to the I-751 form's official instructions, you should send the originals of any sworn or affirmed affidavits.

As for the assembly itself - The USCIS' official Assembly Tips page still recommends using two hole 'ACCO' fasteners, fixed on the top edge of the package. If you don't have 'ACCO' style fasteners, they still suggest using strong clips (I'd use 'Bulldog' style not standard paper clip style ones, if I were you). Of course you could simply do what you did before - it obviously worked! They like you to seperate each section with dividers/tabs that stick out along the bottom edge, not the side. (We used the stickiest sort of 'Post It Notes' along the bottom edge last time and it worked just fine, so I did that again this time too.)

I attached my check in a small, clear plastic bag that was then ACCO'd right there on top of my covering letter.

I shrank 5 different photos so they would fit on one page, printed that page and then included it just below the I-751 form itself. But again, you can do what you did last time - it worked OK then!

Mine was assembled by lawer, but here what I was told.

Send only copies-if you asked for interview, you ll bring originals (do not know about affidevits since my lawer said that they are not nescesary and it is a weakest evidence-so I have not included)

Fotos-I just made xerox copies of 2 fotos on each page (it gives you space to write who is on foto, time and where)

Same with cards, envelopes-xerox copies.

I remember that whole tax returns were copied (not just first 2 pages but actually with suplements, etc)

Sometimes a package get lost (very unusual but might happen)-keep originals.
