Ok, first. I know this is off-topic. I was unsure where to post this as I didn't see anything similar to what we have going on. I also chose off-topic because anyone who uses the internet knows this section is the most looked at. Moderators please feel free to move this to whichever section you feel fit.

Please do not respond with unsure answers; this is a serious ordeal and none of can stand to be miss-led. Thank you :)

Here's the deal.

My family has taken on a foreign exchange student from Germany; a 17yr old brilliant girl. To simplify the situation; She paid an organization to bring her here and set her up with a family, school, etc. She broke a rule that was not stated, the rule broken is nothing illegal nor within any reason for concern so it's beside the point of this. When she broke the rule; two members of her organization came out; made us all sign papers saying it wouldn't happen again and that's exactly what all of us did, including our student.

Two weeks later they are coming back at us saying she didnt follow the rules still; which is absolutely a lie. No proof; no details, no "witness" to be provided. They are coming to take her Monday to a new home, we will not allow this.

Anyway; the point I'm getting to is our student, her family (we are good friends with them now), and my family want to get this organization OFF her visa. We want her to stay for the remainder of her year long stay (2 months are left of the stay), and we all want to be left alone away from this stupid organizations stress.

Can we get her a new Visa with my family as sponsor instead of this horrible organization?

Where do we start, what type of transfer is this called?

Does she have to leave the country and come back to reinstate a new visa, or can it be done "inhouse"?

Is there anything else I need to know?

I will be calling the German consulate in San Francisco (we live in Oakhurst, Ca by the way) tomorrow and any information I can gather before hand is greatly appreciated.

Thank you so much for any help!

-Brett

I didnt pay much attention to the profile details; they are wrong... I'm not located in Germany nor do I know what local office means.

Braymond141,

This is a "family" based immigration website.

Unfortunately, this case does not apply, on the "family based" immigration level. You may get a myriad of answers, but I suggest you hire an immigration lawyer to resolve your questions accurately.

Thanks.

This site was the only one with active members that showed up on a google search. I guess I'll rely on the German consulate to help out; hopefully.
