Will my fiance need the original I-797 NOA2 at her interview in Ho Chi Minh City? I am just curious as to what is in packet 3.

Packet 3 is now called the "Instructional Package for K Visa Applicants". It includes:

1. Introduction Letter

2. DS-2001, Notification of Applicant Readiness

3. DS-230 Part I

4. DSL-1083K, "K" Visa Supplemental Information Sheet

5. DS-2000, Public Charge Evidence

6. I-134, Affidavit of Support

7. Visa Photo Specifications

To obtain an interview, you return DS-230 Part I and DS-2001.

The I-797 is not asked for specifically but you will probably want to have it at the interview. They will know that the I-129F has been approved.
