I'm worrying a lot about which path to take? Either CR-1 or K-3 visa. I tried calling the NVC but couldn't get any information from them about how long each path takes. And I think CR-1 would be better but how do I inform NVC or USCIS that I want to file for the CR-1? We just got approved for the I-130 we filed last year in June. We don't want to file the wrong forms or send them to the wrong location and we'd like to have everything available to the people at NVC so that it does not prolong my spouse's visa.

She is from Germany and if anyone else who knows, please let us know how this process works. We don't want to be given wrong instructions again. Thank you.

If you filed the I-130 and its approved you are on the CR1 course already.

If you also filed a I-129F that was also approved you are on the K3 course.

If I were you if your already approved, don't rock the boat, just go with the flow cuz if you start over it'll take another 6 months, at least!

Also, we have not been approved yet for the I-129F which was received/processed 1 and a half months after the I-130.
