Last week while me and Primie was in the supermarket in WalterMart Mall Makati,, I forgot that she put her purse in the cart. While getting some groceries I left the cart in the side. Primie is getting some stuffs too... So when I came back to the cart, I still did not realized that her purse is missing. When she came and ask her purse, I'm sweating,, #### where is it?... She began to tremble... And said, why you left the cart!!.. So we are paranoid, because all of our credit cards, atm's are there, our cellphones, id's, my driver's license... She's crying while reporting it to the guard who was in charge in that section... The guard can't say anything than to say why you left the purse there were lots of people inside the supermarket? then I started to realize, this is not like my place, ####, im so stupid..

Maybe 2 minutes later someone approach us, and God is good it is Primie's purse and the man said, he get it because it was left unattended in the corner and if there were dishonest people who will get it, for sure we will cry so hard. He then said, check if it is complete... yah it is..... wheeewwwww what a relief!

All I can say that even I hear many bad things about Manila, thieves, robbery,, beggars that everytime they see me, they extend their arms to ask money to me, old woman that approached me and told me a story that she was left in Manila by a relative and she need money to go back home, this is sad.... but

I still believe there were plenty honest people here.. and I love Philippines.

My lessson: I will never leave my things in public and never believe in the dramas of people who will approach me.... and be very careful.

Thank you for sharing this.

It's important for us all to remember that there are still many more good people in this world than not.

Perhaps someone else reading this will make the right decision when faced with something similar just because they will remember your story. :)

There is right... and there is wrong. It's not hard to know the difference.

I agree, there will always be good and bad people in any given place. I'm also from the Philippines and I am saddened by all the bad reviews and travel advisories against the Philippines and its people. Yes, it can't be denied that scammers abound especially in the big cities in the Philippines but I still believe that there are more good hearted and honest people in the Philippines they just don't make the news and the very few that do get featured in the news, never gets on the front page or their story just gets a few seconds airtime on t.v. and radio.

It's great you guys took the time out to honor that honest man here.
