Do i need original with DS-230?

I am preparing DS-230 to send

but i am curious abour sending all required documents

Do i need to send all original Certificate (Birth,Merriage) or Can i send certified copy?

and Di i also need to send DS-230 Part2 to NVC with DS-230 part 1?

Please help so i can prepare and mail DS-230 ASAP

Certified copies, you can bring originals to the interview for inspection.

The applicant and each family member who will accompany the applicant to the United States will need to submit the following original documents or certified copies of the documents listed in this section from an appropriate authority (the issuing entity). In addition to sending the original documents or certified copies of the documents to the NVC, the applicant and each accompanying family member must submit a photocopy of the original documents or certified copies of the documents.

i called NVC to ask about to send all the original certificate and he said we must need to send all the original with DS-230 Part 1 and Part-2 along with PCC, 2 Pictures along with Passport bio page.

but my question is if we send all the original to NVC at the time of DS-230 so how can we present original again at VFS to submit for interview?

I sent the following docs

1. DS230 part 1 and part 2 (unsigned)

2. Birth Cert original

3. Marriage cert original

4. PCC notarized copy

5. passport bio photocopy

6. all photocopies of the above certs

7. 2 Photos (new requirement)

I had 2 copies of original birth and marriage certs so things worked out. There will be no need of submitting any documents at the VFS as the interview is scheduled by NVC and you will get appointment letter. Try and get another cert from the issuing authority for the interview. The local municipal corp will issue birth cert in about 10 days.

I submitted notarized copy of PCC and things worked... no problem at all. There is only one original PCC given and I wanted to carry that for the interview...

yes, birth certificate and marriage certificate should be original. I submitted them in original.

hope this helps (I have seen somewhere in NVC forum that some one got RFE for original birth and marriage certificate).
