Manila Embassy How long between Visa Approval & Delivery ?

My finace is staying in Manila, and Visa was approved on March 4, 2008.

If anyone else was approved around this time, your fiance is in Manila, and has Visa and Passport already delivered, HOW LONG did it take to get the Visa after approval ?

our interview was on march 4th also... and the CO told my fiance 4-5 business days.. so now were still waiting.. did your fiances visa arrive already??

04-1998 his sister/ my friend introduced us to each other..

04-24-1998 got together as boyfriend and girlfriend..

........... 8 YEARS AND 8 MONTHS LATER...............

12-23-2006 he proposed in baguio city philippines.. of course i said YES!!!

01-09-2007 back to US

07-06-2007 mailed I-129F packet

07-09-2007 I-129F delivered (Laguna Niguel)

07-07-2007 NOA1

waiting ... waiting.... waiting....

11-10-2007 - February 5, 2008 went to the Philippines

12-17-2007 NOA2

02-18-2008 mailed him necessary documents

02-21-2008 he passed the local nursing boards... wooohooo :)

02-22-2008 he received the package

02-26-2008 schedule of his physical

02-272008 continuation of his physical

03-02-2008 MY BIRTHDAY...

03-04-2008 INTERVIEW DATE!!!!!! PASSED IT... WOOOHOOOOO

03-26-2008 visa delivered.... FINALLY!!!!!!!!

03-27-2008 got plane ticket...

04-01-2008 CFO

04-11-2008 U.S. arrival

04-24-2008 CIVIL WEDDING /OUR 10TH YEAR ANNIVERSARY

04-25-2008 file SSN

8/25/2011 - Biometrics schedule

9/26/2011 - Interview date received

10/09/2011 - Received yellow letter

11/08/2011 - Interview date THANKS GOD went smooth n pretty easy with the nice lady IO takes 9-10 minutes wow???????????????

I think I waited more time for my Oath Ceremony schedule rather than interview process and after 13 minutes the lady gave my sched WOW CAN'T BELIEVE ......yayyyyyyy

Did you ask for expedite? Will you pick up? have delieverd?

Consul told my fiance that it was up to "their discretion" to allow pickup... he did not allow it... :-( said it had to be Delivered by Delbros. I have read that others have had delivery 2-3 days after, but that was 43 or 4 months ago.

Glad you guys have had approval as well... WHY does it seem that the waiting the LAST FEW DAYS is what drives ya NUTS ??!!??

UPDATE !!!! My Fiance just texted me to call her... she was called by Delbros EARLY this morning that they would DELIVER THE VISA TODAY !!!! THANK GOD !!!!

So timeline will be Inteview: Tuesday, March 4th 2008, Release of Visa Thursday March 6th, DELIVERY of Visa to Manila address Friday March7th !!

This is Soooo PERFECT, because I purchased Airline tickets for Saturday March 8th !! God is GREAT !!!!

Soooo.. a VERY helpful hint to those preparing their papers for their interview in Manila: If you fill out your DS-156, and you are going to be staying in Manila and flying to the US directly from Manila, fill out line #15 of the DS-156 with the address that you will be staying in Manila... as long as your paperwork is in order, and you pay your Document Verification fee in advance, you can get your Visa in 2-3 days !!
