Hi! For anyone that has gone through the interview process already...does the interviewer ask all beneficiaries if they have used ganja before?

My husband and others I know was asked during their medical exams. So tell him to be careful during his medical...they may try to trick him. DO NOT admit to smoking anything in the 3 years...it can lead to a 3-10 year ban from the US....even if the test is negative.

NEVER ADMIT IT....NEVER ADMIT....NEVER ADMIT...they asked my cousin 6 times and he got fustrated with the nurse then the doctor, because he's a RASTAH they were looking at him like WHATEVER, right......

Just like at his interview the CO asked him how his wife was doing...my cousin replied, YOU MEAN MY FIANCEE...she's fine.

Exactly.. cuz I work for Social Security now and we did have a small clearance process, nothing as lengthy as immigration. FBI agent came to my job and evrything..Girl, we have 3 supervisors in my office.. this particular day, mine was not there. So they asked another sup questions..They asked her did she know about my visits out of the country. She told them she knew of one (jamaica) becuz a couple of ladies from the office went. He gonna say, "yes, she did put that down here, along w/ a trip to the Bahamas in October!!!!!!!!!!!!!" What the heck!!!!! How he just gonna be offering information like that. He asked her a question and she answered, end of story. I don't give people at my job my personal business like that, hell she couldn't even tell him how many kids I have and I have been here 5 YEARS! I couldn' t believe he (a SECURITY officer) was so open w/ personal info.. I should have reported his RASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 During my initial cleance, they asked my ex-boyfriend if we were sexually involved  . I put his name down as a reference...that's it...not as a bed partner.

It seems they can ask whatever they want. I work in HR so my potential employees have to wait forever during the process...they always call me to tell what the officer asked them...some stories are so funny.

My old nasty neighbor worked for Secret Service. I was so mad I wasn't home when the FBI knocked on my door....they would have gotten a earful :innocent:.

SEXUALLY INVOLVED??? u have GOT to be kidding me girl!! I wasn't so upset about what he asked her, just that he was GIVING out information. What if I had called in sick during that trip or something..LOL

Ahhh SBJ, yuh naa easy gyal, ya ave nuff dutty tings ta chat bout ya neighbor huh?? I bet he/she was shaking in his boots during di process. Prolly brought u a peace offering and everyting, MORNING NEIGHBOR!!! HA

Girl, they can ask that and more. My girlfriend was unable to get her clearance because she had a convict living at her house. I kept telling her that's why they were talking so long to give her an answer.

WTH..they will deny for anything won't they. Scary how much power is in the clearance people's hands.

Intimacy, like charity, begins at home. If we cannot be intimate with ourselves, we have no way to bring to intimacy with another person.

Intimacy with ourselves takes time. We need time for rest, time for walks, time for quiet, and time to tune into to ourselves. We cannot completely fill up our lives with activities and become intimate with ourselves. Nor can we just sit quietly indefinitely and become intimate with ourselves. We have to have the time and energy to be our lives and to do our live in order to establish and intimate relationship with ourselves.

Surprisingly, as we become intimate with ourselves, we discover our connection with others

CALLING ON THE VETS...... From DS-156 (the one you fill out on-line)...How many pages you suppose to print out...one or two? My friend said when she went to her interview last week she only had 2 pages, but the told her it should have been 3. I don't have my paperwork infront of me so I can't help her. Any ideas?

If those visa specialists get paid so well, they should be doing a better job!!!!

They do not work at the Embassies...only in DC. Those are consular officers. Visa Specialists do not approve or disapprove visas. Their jobs are interesting. Two of my friends work over there.

Consular Officers make more money because they live in Gov'ment housing for free  Still mad about passing up a job in Kingston last summer

Good morning yardies!!

Do u think having a fiance/spouse/ friend from JA would affect consideration for a job like this. I remember when I was being interviewed for adjudications officer w/ the Texas Service Center, they asked all these questions for the security clearance.. what foreign trips have u taken? what did u do? who did u meet? do u keep in contact? would u have any reason to use immigration to assist friends and family members? blah blah blah..

it was crazy...They wanted the names and contact information of any foreign friend or relative that I had..thank goodness I don't have many cuz I would have said FORGET THIS!!!!!!!!!

Yes, the security clearance process is no joke. It also depends on your job title. They want to know EVERYTHING that happened to your life in the last 7-10 years. Just be honest...that's all. I had to report a married a "foreign national". Didn't want to jeoardize my clearance. We still had caught up in a FBI security check during the AOS process

I'm lost dancehall. Why were they checking on you with the Supervisor. Is that for a new job or the imigration process?

Hey girl.. I was applying for a job w/ immigration as an adjudications officer. I haven't done ANYTHING w/ the visa process..."yet"(???) Heehee

I guess they want to make sure I wouldn't start a smuggling ring or something, just giving out visas to all my VJ friends .. LOL

Hi! For anyone that has gone through the interview process already...does the interviewer ask all beneficiaries if they have used ganja before?

Not only do they ask, they test for it. If he says he has EVER used it in the past, they will deny. Be very careful with this.

I have my packet here at work and the DS-156 is only two pages long. Here is a link to the form: https://evisaforms.state.gov/ds156.asp

It says "1 of 2" and "2 of 2" pages.

Did it cause her any problems? I wonder what they were referring to?

Copy and past my link into your browser. It takes me to the exact same place as you went. Click on "continue" on that form. You will see a page 3 for "official use". It's there. You just didn't go far enough.
