As someone who's actually been to France on several occasions (and knowing people who live there) I'd think twice before suggesting that it is somehow a backward country. It just isn't the case. Their standard of living over there is pretty good, for the most part.

I'd also add that while many folks here deride countries like France for their higher taxes, they're standard of living is proportionally better than it is here. Their health system is also in no ways overrated.

The French also believe in the family and have strong family values. Of course, they still have problems, economic, social and political. I don't think anyone is going to claim France as Eutopian but to hold it up as the standard of something rotten is just laughable...mind you, so is the premis behind the OP's first post.

Refusing to use the spellchick!

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

Oddly enough - you'd think there would be more sympathy for the French these days, seeing as Sarkozy is a Bush wannabe ;)

Of course the whole premise in the OP post appears to be that people who don't agree with the OP aren't "real men".

Its not too dissimilar to those people who go to a museum and calls artists and artworks "gay" because they don't see the point in the art.

Its just a fancy way of advertising their own ignorance.

But Andy Warhol actually WAS gay.

Yes.

Liberalism leads to Socialism leads to homosexuality which leads to closet gays in the Republican Party. It all makes sense now.

I'm a toe tapper...lots of nervous energy. Anyway, after the Senator Craig thing, I caught myself tapping my toe in the stall at work. Looking back on it, the thought process that went on in my brain for about 2 seconds was hilarious.

LOL...as long as nobody tapped back or waved their hand under the divider you'll be safe. If by chance that does happen, just cough and then say outloud, "Oh man, my testicles are swelling." They'll know right away you're manly-man and not one of those French poodles.
