Dear VJers,

I am just worried, the electronic form says: "do not click continue more than once", i did not but was not able to print it either as the printer is not working so i need to go to the internet cafe tom to do it. i can't even save it in my laptop so i really have to do it one more time. i am just worried that since it already generated the barcode, it might confuse the other copy that i will print. please help... :help::help::help:

don't worry about it. the website does not store the information. the barcode only contains the information from the form you are finishing at that time. no information is stored anywhere.

Thank you Smoke. I really appreciate it

Timeline

I did mine several times also as I had to tweak little things here and there. As others have correctly said, the bar code is not saved online. They first time it is used is when it is scanned in the day of the interview.

If memory serves me correctly, once you have completed the electronic form and have hit the continue button, the electronic form is converted into a PDF. This file you can save and keep for printing at a later date. You cannot edit it however. There should be a small icon in the upper left that looks like floppy disk. This is the "save" button.

Don't worry about having to redo filling up the online application many times. I did mine 5 times due to typo errors and omission and each time I did it a new bar code is generated. You can save the file and save it so you can print it out later. Good luck!

Thank you so much VJers, I don't know why I can't save it but what the heck...my fiancee did it for me and send it to me for printing. Is it the DS156 alone that is needed to be filled up electronically? Or should I do it with the DS157 and DS156K too? Thanks again...

the DS-156 is the only form that generates a bar code.

I filled up online & printed out copies of the DS-156 form. I also filled up one copy each of DS-156K & DS-157 form. The only form that I filled up in handwriting is the DS-157 validated by the bank when I paid my visa application fee.
