Pls help...we were planning to present just the 2005 and 2006 tax returns but we noticed a lot of the March interviewees are bringing their fiance's 2007 tax return. So the question is, Dave tried filing our 2007 tax return, he filed jointly and it got rejected because they need my SSN (which obviously i dont have yet) so am asking my fellow K3 filers, how did ur spouses file for their 2007 tax return? jointly, separately or as single?:help:

our interview is on March 6 already.....pls someone help....

do we really need to bring the 2007 ITR?

thanks so much.

you would have needed an ITIN to use you on his 2007 Return to file jointly. that can be obtained by filing a W-7.

http://www.irs.gov/individuals/article/0,,id=96287,00.html

since your interview is March 6, dont know if there would be time to obtain one now. I wouldn't worry, I don't think the 2007 Returns are required yet for interviews in March, since the deadline for filing 2007 Returns is April 15th. If you want to have documentation of his 2007 income for your interview, I think having the W-2 without the 2007 Return would be fine.

bset of luck with your interview

Easy! Just fill out the W 7 and have hubby file it WITH his return. I had my wife [K3] do so while she was still in PI and didn't have any problems.

They wouldn't except my daughters W 7 [K4] tho.

IRS will mail the number to hubby . Main thing is to have the 2007 Joint ITR. No need the ITIN at interview.

Attach letter explaining you,he filed for ITIN but haven't received it yet.

K1 denied, K3/K4, CR-1/CR-2, AOS, ROC, Adoption, US citizenship and dual citizenship

!! ALL PAU!

Your spouse need to file as head of household, and he does not need you to include on the tax return..he also cannot even claim you..he needs to file head of household not single, not jointly..filing as head of household can get some money back..goodluck!
