Hey ladies,

Question for any of you who might know.....

When Dave goes up to Kingston to get the Police Report requested.....How Long Does it Take to Complete the Paperwork, get fingerprinted, pay for it etc.???

He's supposed to be at the Embassy at 12:30p.m. on the 26th to drop off the DS 230....Will he have enough time (if he gets to Kingston WAY early) to atleast go and request the police report BEFORE he drops off the DS230 or will that require two different trips to Kingston? Just Curious. :wacko:

Lastly, Do they SEND the police reports out to the beneficiary in the mail or will Dave be required to go back up to Kingston to actually Pick it up in person? Anyone who has recent experience with any of this stuff please write back or PM me to let me know. I don't leave till' Friday so any feedback would be helpful!

Thanks, Tonisha :luv:

How long is the certificate valid? We have to get one early do see if dat dry head bway have anything on it (mi luv im dough)...and what you have to bring with you to request it. He got arrested a few years ago for a fight, but dem never fingerprint, take his picture or charged him with anything. I'm still wondering how I should answer that question on the D-230? I know it's best to be honest, but mi know she d john'crow dem a di embassy will use anything against u

Tonisha;

He will have to do this in two steps. He needs two passport sized photos. He has to go to Old Hope Road to get his fingerprints done then he has to go down town to apply for the actual certificate. It costs JS$2000 for 3-day service and JA$1000 for 21 day service. He can go back and pick it up, which I think is better because the mail system in Ja sucks. I will get the exact info from Mike when I speak with him tonight, if no-one else has not given you that info.

Good luck

Claire

Lawny, I have heard that it is valid either 6 months or one year. I am not sure. Do not, and I repeat, do not answer yes to that question. I am quite certain that if he was not fingerprinted, charged or had his picture taken, his record is clean.

Honesty does not always work in our best interest. If you have any doubt and you don't mind spending the money, let him get it before you fill out the form so he can be certain.

if i remember from when mike got his done...he went back to get it...which i agree is the best way...because you know you will get it...he paid extra to have it done in a week...which i also recomend!!! also i think it only last up to 6 months....
