Okay, I get what you are saying now... You can take the scheduled medical exam as indicated on Packet 4 (which is usually 1 week prior to your interview at the Embassy) or as the majority of us, take it before the "scheduled" date. I'ts advise to take the medical no more than 1 month prior to your interivew at the Embassy or the US Embassy will make you retake the medical exam as the results will be invalid if its not within a 1 month timeframe. By taking the medical exam early, it guarantees that the US Embassy has enough time to review your result just in case your results come back late, and two, if during the exam, there are problems that arise, you have a chance to fix whatever problems may arise or finds during the exam...

Well thanks for that extra information. Anyways, the main point was, you don't have to take the scheduled medical exam as indicated on your packet 4. Civiam was confused about this, and answered that you don't have to wait for your medical schedule to take the exam.

Heres a point made which is exactly what I stated
