Hi Vj forumers,

Its been awhile since the last time i log in...due to my very busy schedule lately... i am now in SF. i got here feb. 07... an di just wanna share my experience regarding CFO... last time i was here i was asking how important the CFO registration is...and i really do appreciate all the answers that has given... but then i was too busy traveling that i wasnt even think of goin to the counselling and all...till my ticket arrived...i just go and leave the country without it...i thought at first they might asked me or look for it when i reached the immigration....but as what i heard before when somebody also say that it is not even searched for in her passport...it really does...its true that they dont even look for it...all u need to bring is ur passport, visa attached and the brown enveloped with you. in my case i dont know if im just lucky enough....or because im with my fiance with me all the way..and also if they will asked he's the one who will back me up!...any ways, still... this is what happened...i just hope whatever u think or fel like doin... just do it..cuz the last time i answer a question here about the letter of intent i said there that the letter that my fiance wrote me has a notary sign...but i didnt say that we all need to do it...but if u can do it then do it...somebody message me that i shouldnt said about getting it notarized....because it doesnt need to...thanks but you dont need to mesage me in my personal mail here just to let me know then just reply to my answer in the said post..it will be much highly appreciated...thank u and god bless...

They checked Claudeth's CFO stamp when she went into the International section of the airport in Cebu. Of course the us immigration people didn't care about the stamp, all they wanted was to stamp her passport, put the I-94 in it and take the brown envelope.

that's cool! My passport with the sticker was really checked at the airport.

Proper documentation such as goin thru CFO processs/es is one way of registering Filipinos living/working in foreign countries. I'm not so sure of what would be the impact to this.

Importance of the I-94:

- a copy for the AOS application and interview

- SSN application if you apply prior to green card

- a proof that you arrived here legally

pity you missed it. it was a pretty enlightening experience. Goodluck to your new life in America, may everything be well with you.

the I94 is the disembarkation card they give out in the plane, right? its the paper the immigration officer attaches to your passport during the interview? won't you be needing the A# when you file for AOS? if you dont have an A# will they consider you as an undocumented alien and deport you? just wondering...

The I-94 is an important document sjnce it establishes your legal arrival in the United States. You are required to submit a copy of it when you file for your adjustment of status. To request a I-94 file a I-102 form. The fee is $320. http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/men...00045f3d6a1RCRD
