I don't know if this will help, but you can check with this company and see what they come up with. I hope you enjoy your trip.

Deltaairlines have very good deals if you buy in advance, and they fly straight from Atlanta to lagos non-stop. No european detours. Goodluck

 Yup, I'd definitely go Delta. The non-stop is SOOOO much better than flying through europe. And you should be able to buy a ticket for your husband to return with you. Just call them on the phone. The number for Delta is 1-800-221-1212. I always fly delta and I love it (I used frequent flyer miles to go to Ghana in November).

Holy #######! You mean to tell me it's a REAL Delta flight from Atlanta to Lagos...and not a (pretend) code share flight!!! Sweet! Airline employees get great discounts on interline travel on most carriers...Unfortunitly North American Airlines does not have an agreement with other carriers so no employee discount and that was the last one I had heard of going non-stop. You were always stuck going through Europe....BUT DELTA!!!! A nonstop! That's good for a long weekend in Lagos.
