I-130 problem (?) - panic! (London)

I filed our I-130 in London and got back the self-addressed envelope saying our petition had been received. That was a little over a week ago. Our credit card has been charged.

Yesterday I got back to an attempted-delivery card from the mail service the Embassy uses. Now, it could be something else (but I've never had a parcel from them). Is there any reason they would be sending us something? I'm worried that they're sending our application back for some reason (though I checked everything 3 times before I posted it).

thanks!

Well, I don't think it would be an approval quite that quickly; they may be looking for further evidence or (as was our case) sending back things you included that were unnecessary at this stage (like the three extra pages of G-325A we'd included).

Did you recently order a new credit or debit card, or have one replaced? We had the same thing happen to us during the process, turned out it was my husband's new credit card -- his had expired and he hadn't noticed, and the company sent him a new one without notifying him first. Since the company used SMS couriers too, we couldn't figure out what was going on, much like you. He called up SMS, and they confirmed it was a credit card.

Call the number on the card and find out what's going on.
