OT: food inside USEM

hi! i hope all of you will indulge me on this. i just need to pose this question to all who recently went in for their interviews. my parents are having their NIV (B1/B2) interview tomorrow, and am wondering if the USEM allow snacks (just biscuits and water) to be brought inside the premises? my parents' are diabetics and hunger pangs may cause their sugar levels to rise. thanks.

I cannot answer your question for sure and it is too late for you to call the Embassy. As a past diabetic, I would suggest that your parents explain about their diabetes to the guards outside. I doubt the Embassy would want a hyper or hypoglycemic reaction. Glucose pills or bars may be a good alternative.

i can see it is okay. a friend on mine bought a bottle of mineral water inside, and i saw an old lady getting biscuits from her bag.

I brought some snacks with me before at the embassy. I believe they allow it.

just wanted to thank you guys again. my parents did get to bring their snackbox inside the USEM premises and left with their tourist visa approval ...now we are praying and keeping our fingers crossed that it will be a multiple/10 or 5 for both of them.

Hi,

I had with me bread and biscuits inside the Embassy last January 8 during my interview! You can also bring water..
