The cheapest international call

I suggest your family should apply for smart broadband internet. Its a wireless internet and uses antenna on the top of the roof to get a connection. It costs 1,000 pesos for installation fee and 999 pesos per month for unlimited use of internet. They have lots of base stations scattered all over the philippines. Applicant should just bring his or her passport or any valid id and pay the installation fee to the nearest smart center and after 3 days people from smart would come and install it. I am in a remote area so cable internet is not accessible but thanks to smart I can go online 24/7. I use yahoo voice to call my husband's cellphone in california and my sister in texas and it only costs me 1 cents per minute. So if you convert that in pesos, it only costs me 40 cents per minute for my US calls. I think Globe has wireless internet too but its only available in Luzon.

crazy frog call card. another thing my dad brought with him an ACN phone $20-30 video phone 24/7 unlimited calls from US to PHILS and vice versa !! its plug and play just connect it with ur internet and wholah !! unlimited calls ;)

Hi guys!

Sorry for barging in like this on your forum, hope you don't mind.

My name is Alex and I work over at Rebtel. After speaking to some of our user calling to the Philippines quite a few of them recommended me to get on here and have a look on what you guys were talking about as far as cheap calling services.

I will be here to your disposal if you have any questions regarding our service or Rebtel in general.

I saw that you were discussing rates and just a few days ago, we actually slashed our rates for calls to the Philippines. The rate per minute for calls to the Philippines is now 12 cents per minute to landlines and 14 cents per minute to mobile phones.

Furthermore, some of you mentioned in the Rebtel discussions that we are one of the only companies offering 10 free test minutes. That is completely correct. On top of that, right now we have a limited short term offer going out to some of our users giving them 30 minutes of free calls to the Philippines. If you don´t mind I would like to share it with you so you can try Rebtel out. If you already are a Rebtel user, don´t worry. You can also use this code to get free minutes.

If you feel like you would like to give Rebtel a go, you can sign up at here https://www.rebtel.com/en/Utility-Pages/Join-flow/Join/

After sign up, you can choose to Add Credit, instead of adding credit you can type in this voucher code: 8840005657

This code will automatically credit your account with 30 minutes of calling to the Philippines completely free of charge.

Thanks very much and once again, if you have any questions regarding Rebtel, don't hesitate dropping me a line.

Best,

Alex

I'm already a Rebtel user... I'm very happy with it. It's easy to connect and line is very clear, not to mention cheap. I have tried others but so far, Rebtel is the only one that satisfied my needs as a customer.

I use Pingo.com...16cents for mobile and 14cents for landline..you can get free $5 for signing up..Try it..No need to use phone cards..Just register the number you need to use calling P.I..It works for me pretty good!

Me too, plus you can customize the service by adding phone number recognition (add a phone number you call from regularly and don't need to enter password) and speed dial to frequently call numbers. Plus it only charges by the minute instead of two or three minutes per call

It sounds ludacris to me to charge people for 2-3 minutes at a time instead of by the minute.

Try http://owtel.com/. My 2 aunts who live here for so long recommended it to me. She claims , it's the cheapest. As of now, I did not use it because I am just using Yahoo voice.
