I am completely relieved and bursting with excitement... yeah, over the moon is a better way to put it! Thanks for everyone's support and advice here... it made the process so much easier and sensible.

Keith said it seems like the interview isn't really a problem - but that he definitely got the feeling that the more organized you are before you get there, the better, since it puts the consular officials more at ease. he was seeing exasperated faces at other windows, and that was only a few minutes after he got there in the morning.

As long as you're prepared and careful about having all the documents, you'll be fine. Good luck next week!!

I definetly agree, the Person I got at Booth 1 to hand my documents to commented on what a good job I done with Organising everything and making copies, she said some people dont prepare.

Lucky! I was stuck with the grumpy old Chinese lady who drank coffee whilst speaking to me. So I couldn't hear what she was saying, everytime I said "sorry?" she would bark at me. The guy who did the interview was nice though.

Yeah, Keith told me the same thing - it was as if the CO had been expecting to have to say something like, you need this form, or you should have photocopied that...etc But since we had everything ready, he just said, "oh, this looks fine. thanks!"

It just defies the imagination that people wouldn't prepare for this interview. It's one of the most important I can think of! Then again, not everyone knows about VJ - and this place made all the difference in the world for us.
