What was that guy in vegas who's domesticated tiger killed him? Sigmund and Roy? Did he deserve it too? Prolly did! :P

Different scenario altogether, but tigers have a way of eating flesh.

And cats don't ??

My cat occasionally bites me when she's hungry in the morning, but I'm pretty sure she doesn't exactly see me as a potential meal.

Last i checked a mouse has flesh.

Also adding .... squirrels, moles, chipmunks ... birds (gotta get through the feathers first ...) ... etc.

I think the words applicable here are food chain. As humans we are not part of a cats food chain, smaller animals are like birds, mice and so on. Humans are bigger than a cat so they don't look upon us as food.

Tigers however are bigger, faster and stronger than us, so humans are potential prey for them as we are generally smaller than them, ergo we are prey to them. And easy prey too if you decide to poke a nice juicy leg over the fence at them...

Engaging play? The six inch infected scratch on the back of my hand certainly didnt feel like "play" I didnt hear any purrrrrring either. If I engage "play" with a tiger im dead. I guess when its a tiger its toement but with a kitty cat its play. I get it now.

Gotta say - I play with my cats and I don't get scratched. I'd say if the cat's not purring and scratches you - it clearly isn't enjoying what you're doing to it...

Well, I asked them (all 7 of them) but all I got was a disdainful look and they either wandered off or started washing themselves. You can draw your own conclusions from that.

Also, CarolsMarc asked an inapt question about the "domesticated tiger" which had killed Siegfried/Roy.

Lion-tamers NEVER consider any large-cat (albeit, most of the ones used in circi/circuses over the last 50 years were zoo-bred) as "domesticated"--as the predatory instinct is NOT bred out of them entirely (there have been some attempts at reintroducing zoo-bred cats to the wild, over which "animal-rights" groups ALWAYS oppose with the chopf*ck claim that they will "die due to inexperience").
