My case completed October 26, still no interview date. I have called almost everyday this week, NOTHING!!! I called department of state and was told that Kingston is so backed up that it is taking close to six months once the case get tot he embassy. I really dont believe it when someone on here has an interview date for January with case complete a a couple weeks before mine. I have asked if it is undergoing some additional review, NO. if something is wrong, NO. I can not figure out what it could be. Anythoughts. Also how many people going through Jamaica have January interviews, because I am beginning to wonder if its just our case.

thanks

Sorry that it's taking so long. There used to be a method to the madness at Kingston embassy (including scheduling your appointments for interview online during the early 2000s, which they quickly took away) but now all one can do is wait. From what I've heard it's best to try and communicate via email than phone, but even with that there is no guarantee if they will reply - or reply in a timely manner. Hang in there and good luck.

Hi tidanemu,

I am sorry that did not receive an interview date. I wouldn't start raising a stink until after they have scheduled February interviews and you are not in the mix. I know it is frustrating to wait, but in comparison to other consulates, Kingston is doing fairly good on scheduling interviews. As I stated in a previous post, USA-Jamaica's case was complete the end of June, while my case was scheduled mid-July. We both were scheduled for September interviews, mine was 4 days before hers. Kingston does seem to be backing up, but I am sure you will hear good news soon; don't lose heart.

So far I can only remember 1 other person with a January interview going through Kingston.

I remember being there and waiting forever. If I can recall it took about 3 months to get the interview and I knew 3 weeks before hand. Hang in there. If you are still waiting after the 3 months. The contact a senators office. Mine helped me out.

So, don't worry about people from your past, there's a reason why they didn't make it to your future.
