I thought GWB's job approval rating was down yet again. Down to something like 24% in an October poll.

And the Democrat Congress approval ratings!

Gallup

12/6-9/07 22 70 8 -48

CBS/New York Times

12/5-9/07 21 64 15 -43

AP-Ipsos

12/3-5/07 25 70 * -45

.

So what? It's not a competition.

Always the same from you guys when you are called on the facts you change the story

I'm not sure how you figure that - given that you just avoided dealing with GWB's performance by switching the focus to that of the Democratic Congress.

I'm not offended by the Congressional approval ratings - they don't particularly represent my views, and no they aren't doing a particularly good job. But then neither was the current administration when they had their majority.

You don't understand conservatives. It's not about personalities. I have three principles when I choose a candidate:

1. Limited government

2. Low Taxes

3. Strong National Defense

I choose the candidate that comes the closest to these three principles. Even if I can't stand them as a person or their personality.

1. GWB - Limited government- Failed

2. GWB - Lowered Taxes - Passed

3. GWB - Strong National Defense - Passed

And remember that history is going to be written by people that are not yet born. Because right now people can't see the forest for the trees. But in 30 to 40 years all will be visible for posterity to see.

Gee lets see for one:

1. Limited government: NSA spying on ordinary Americans, babies being blacklisted from flying, increased spending on keeping illegals out while rounding more people up on paper raids, e t c

2. Low taxes... for whom? And tell that to the next generations that WILL have to pay for this administration's disaster on most fronts.

3. Strong National Defense- killing durka burkas Hollywood Style does not count. Neither does examples 1 and 2 from item 1 above. Yet go out into the void that isolationist warhawks cry foul of around the world and show your naivette. See what a strong national defense does. However, it would be great if a strong national defense really existed, like in actually defending our borders and not creating new enemies for future generations to fight.

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.

I kind of doubt that the folks responding to those polls are responding to "personalities".

It's all about personalities. We live in a show biz culture. It's all Hollywood all the time. Someday we may get back to the Culture that we once had, but for now it is all personalities. Can you say Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie?

Yeah well - that doesn't put much faith in your fellow voters. The polls ask specific questions about job performance. Besides - I thought you said it wasn't about personalities....

You went to public school I see.

They don't have enough people to spy on American citizens

I have done well with the tax cuts. Any dollar that does not go to feed bureaucratic machine is another dollar that creates more jobs so people won't need to be demoralized and destroyed by another government handout.

The war in Iraq is going to be won in spite of the treachery of the left.

Isolationist? I am a total free trader. I am so pro-immigrant that I translate for all of my follow employees from all over the world (Loas, Vietnam, China, Philippines, Thailand....etc....) that are employed by my company. I am not Pro-illegal. I want as many people that America can assimilate to come here and enjoy the fruits of their labors that only Capitalism can achieve. Capitalism tries to guarantee equal opportunity for all. Social tries to guarantee equal oppression for all, except that elite little group at the top that eats, drinks and are merry on the fruits of everyone else's labors.

[Deep, sharp pain otherwise known as a stitch from all the laughing I've just suffered due to denying domestic spying by the Bush admin]

Um hum...

Those dang Commies... always subversively destroying the hard-won freedoms we all so blatantly enjoy!

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.
