PCC help

hi all

2day i went for PCC and officer says that i need

husband's passport copy and his residence proof

along with

marriage certificate and myselves passport copy

OR

interview letter and mine passport copy

but as i hvnt recieved my interview letter and i dont hv my husband's residence proof

what sud i do now?

sud i wait for INterview letter OR ask husband 2 send residence proof

(i think both cases r gonna take same time)

what u ppl advise?

which office did u go, which is ur passport office..... In mumbai they dont ask all that

PCC regional passport office: requires only your passport photocopy and 300 rupees

PCC local commissioner office: requires challan of 500 rupees, photocopy of the whole passport, residence proof (any bill or ration card or election card), two different affidavit of 2 govt. employees on 10 rupees stamp, study cert if student, purpose of PCC i.e. Proof of letter(I told the officer that I can a print out of the instructions from the chennai website, he was ok with it.) These are details which I got from Hyderabad police commissioner office. Don't take from local area police station I heard that it is of no use. Did you go to the commissioner office or the local police station?

i went to local commissioner office.....they ask all such documents( bcoz i read smewhere that two police enquires are required....1 from LOCAl police and other from PASSPORT office)

i hvnt received any interview letter

So now whether i require 2 of them

OR just passport PCC

Go to the chandigarh passport office and give them application for PCC from their office.

From the Commissioners Office ,

You do one thing tell your hubby to scan his passport andn residence proof( any utility bill) and send it to you or if he can send you by mail tell him to do so. The first option to scan it and email you so u can print it here will be very good with which u can attach ur documents and obtain PCC from local authority.

Mention in application both the places you need PCC for USA clearly

hi,

You can go at the same time. For PCC with the passport office.. you will have to fill out a MISC form 2 asking for a PCC for USA... they will take ur original passport, light bill or phopne bill, school or college leaving certificate, Ration card ( if Any), xerox copy of ur passport and PAn Card copy or driving license copy, Passport size photograph and a fee of Rs300. You will get the PCC with the passport in mail in 7 working days.

Same documents are required for the PCC from local police authority.
