Since I am newer on this site. I was wondering if someone could explain to me what all the abbreviations mean in everyones timelines?

Also could someone explain the packets 2-4 to me? :help::innocent:

Packet 1 = NOA1 receipt letter

Packet 2 = NOA2 Approval letter

Packet 3 = Information packet sent out by the consulate

Packet 4 = Invitation letter with interview date sent out by the consulate.

Packet 3 and 4 vary by consulate.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

Great response. Will just add that packets 3 and 4 are often combined into a single packet, depending on the consulate.
