Once NVC forwards package to Embassy, it takes approx. a week and a half for delivery of packet 3 to Fiance/e's home. You have one year from the date packet 3 is delivered before the Embassy begins the termination process on your petition. More info coming soon. |

Applicants are assigned interviews by time groups. Interviews start at 7:30am folowed by interviews every half hour after that. Waiting time from the time you enter the consulate is approx 2 hours.
There are two appointment lines in the waiting area outside the consulate. One is for residency applicants, the other for tourist visas. K-1 applicants should use the Residency line. |

The Toll free number provided by the embassy is helpful for non-immigrant visas, not very useful for K-1.
The Visa Center number (818)755-8425, is helpful to clarify basic questions. They can also reschedule your appointment once you have one and can update your Fiance/e's info. It costs approx $7 USD for this call.
