As little as 7 days, they call the beneficiary to pick-up packet 3. They don't like using the CR postal system. There's nothing to send back with packet 3. You bring all the forms and documents with you to the interview. |

Total is about $100 for medical, x-ray, and blood tests. Vaccines are extra. They are expensive (my fiancee paid $35 for one she needed), so make sure you find your vaccination records and if any are needed, do them in advance at your local doctor before you get to the medical exam. |

Effective March 20, 2008, all Costa Rican phone numbers were added an extra digit in front of them.
-All landline numbers received the number "2" in front of them.
-All cell phone numbers received the number "8" in front of them.
-Most landlines start with the number 2 to begin with, so now they have an extra 2 in front.
-Most cell lines start with 3, 8, or 9 and now they have an 8 in front. |
