I am the USC was not at the interview with my wife in HCMC, this is her experience. She had a similar experience getting into the embassy (line up, paper work, phone check, address check, submit official copies, finger print, then wait). We had uploaded additional evidence, photos with time entries and descriptions, health insurance membership, authorized credit card with her name on it. Since we uploaded everything, I mentioned she didn't need to bring hard copies. She only needed hard copies of the requested official documents if they wanted to keep anything. We've heard of others requesting the Relationship Form from the US Embassy in Vietnam (google the form and you can find it). We did not submit the relationship form however, we based our photos using these questions as guidelines. She had stacked of evidence printed out, interview did not ask to see any off it. She was approved after the last question. She was asked these questions:

IR-1 Pass at Ho Chi Minh today, smooth experience. I am the petitioner, and accompanied my wife during every step of the process.
Key takeaways:
- You can't bring bottled water past the security checkpoint. They have plenty of water inside.
- We arrived 20 minutes prior to our scheduled interview time, 7:40am. Although we arrived significantly after the line had first formed outside the Consulate, it seemed to make absolutely no difference to the order in which we were interviewed (details below) and we were eating lunch by 10:30am.
The Experience:
As others have noted, if you've been to the American Citizen Services area, this is a completely different entrance, security checkpoint, and waiting area, all with a different layout. Could be that today was a particularly easy-going day in terms of atmosphere, because we didn't find the waiting area to be overly crowded or noisy. I am hot natured and worried I would turn into a puddle, but... read complete review

K-1 Visa Interview Experience
I attended the K-1 visa interview with my fiancée, H??ng. They allowed me to accompany her into the embassy. Our appointment time was 7:30 AM, but we arrived early at 6:48 AM and lined up. When the doors opened, the staff checked for our DS-160 confirmation page and appointment letter.
It turned out the appointment time didn’t matter much because everyone was processed in the order they arrived. After entering, we were given a number for processing. No electronics were allowed inside, so we only brought our packet and a backpack.
Document Submission and Waiting
The embassy had a screen that showed when it was your turn to go up to the counter. About an hour in, we were called up and asked to provide all the required paperwork. Once we submitted the documents, we were told to sit and wait again.
Approximately two hours later, we were called up for the interview. I noticed ... read complete review
