Could anyone post how long it took for you to get through the appointment queue at the Cuidad Juarez consulate? Our case has been in the appointment queue for 3 months (and we have double-confirmed with them that we are in the queue) but we have no idea how long the line usually lasts to hear back about an interview. Any prior feedback will be greatly appreciated! Thank you

Did not take long. It seemed to be efficient. It took a total of 5 days because of how all of the appointments landed

My fiancé said that the interviewer didnt even smile once. She asked for a certain number of basic documents and even when he asked "how are you?" she didnt even respond. He asked if she had all the documents that she needed and she said, "maybe." Then she said they couldn't approve his visa... no explanation, no further info. nothing. He had received the dreaded "221G" form -- which is immigration purgatory -- with NO EXPLANATION.
We sat for 5 very long days completely disappointed and totally worried, wondering if he would ever be able to cross the border -- I was thinking we'd have to get married in Mexico and start the whole terrible process all over again. Then at 5pm the Friday after the interview, I checked the website one more time before the weekend, and his status had unceremoniously changed from "REFUSED" to "ISSUED." The K-1 visa was delivered to the US consulate the following Wednesday or Thursday.

Interview was simple. Did not realize from this website guide, or the USCIC site that it lists there are technically two required interviews. First interview double checks and ensures you have all the medical records, evidence, and biometrics complete. After this initial screening, you will receive an interview date the following day or next available date when the consulate is open. In our case there was a Mexican holiday in between and our final interview was scheduled until the next day.

The staff was amazing.
My only complaint is that nowhere does it say that the interview is split between 2 days.
On your "appointment date" they just ask for documents and ask you to go back the next day for the actual interview.
