Interview was smooth and straight forward. We were scheduled for 10/28 at 8:30am. Per other people's recommendations, we lined up early by 7am. The line seemed pretty long already and was told a lot of people start lining up at 4-5am. I think the earliest appointment time is 7:00am but not sure. She made the front of the line a few hours later but was done by 11am. When my fiancé returned, she said all she did was submit documents and was given a follow up date for the next day 11/29 for actual interview. Her interview was also at 8:30am that day so she lined up around 8:00am and was out by 9am. Once the documents have been submitted, the line for the interview seems much quicker the following day.

Could anyone post how long it took for you to get through the appointment queue at the Cuidad Juarez consulate? Our case has been in the appointment queue for 3 months (and we have double-confirmed with them that we are in the queue) but we have no idea how long the line usually lasts to hear back about an interview. Any prior feedback will be greatly appreciated! Thank you

Did not take long. It seemed to be efficient. It took a total of 5 days because of how all of the appointments landed

My fiancé said that the interviewer didnt even smile once. She asked for a certain number of basic documents and even when he asked "how are you?" she didnt even respond. He asked if she had all the documents that she needed and she said, "maybe." Then she said they couldn't approve his visa... no explanation, no further info. nothing. He had received the dreaded "221G" form -- which is immigration purgatory -- with NO EXPLANATION.
We sat for 5 very long days completely disappointed and totally worried, wondering if he would ever be able to cross the border -- I was thinking we'd have to get married in Mexico and start the whole terrible process all over again. Then at 5pm the Friday after the interview, I checked the website one more time before the weekend, and his status had unceremoniously changed from "REFUSED" to "ISSUED." The K-1 visa was delivered to the US consulate the following Wednesday or Thursday.
