Well...I guess we can't complain because we were approved, and he went without me, the US Petitioner. We were waiting for a potential December interview date, and on Halloween night I got an email from the Embassy saying they'd had a cancellation for 11/7/06 and suggested we take it, which we did. So George had his interview before he had his medical. At the interview, they gave him a blue sheet, because he had to come back with the medical, and they also asked him for records of money transfers (this was the first time I'd heard them asking for that, but it's actually a preparinted item on the blue sheet) and his phone records. This was an issue, because we'd already tried to get his phone records from Cable and Wireless, but were told they don't provide records for prepaid cell phones. HOwever, the Embassy interviewer told George to bring the blue sheet and they would provide the records. It took a while to get Cable and Wireless to actually cough up the records, but they final... read complete review

the embassy process could be improved alot!! But all in all not so bad. The actual wait time was 31/2 close to 4 hours. first you stand in line until they are ready to let you in, then you go through security No phones,no cameras,no electronic devices if you have one when you go through security they will cancell your interview. We left everything but our paperwork in the hotel safe. Make sure you bring a ink pen just incase you have to fill out a form. make sure you have 4 passport pictures and if you downloaded the 156 and 157 take two copies. Window four was really rude at first but she losin up a little.
after they get all the papaerwork then you sit down and wait again. Then we went to window 9, she was pleasant. 6 questions and we were approved.

Ricardo didnt have all the necessary paperwork ready in time for the 11/9 interview. The embassy told him that he had to wait another month to be scheduled for another interview. Waiting for new interview date in December. He said that they were telling lots of people there that they had to wait another month for a new date.

All in all it was not so bad but I was glad to be there with my honey. We were in line a 6 am and the line started moving into the building at 6:50. Even being there that early there was about 30 people in front of us.
Went through security, sat down and then told to go upstairs. Dropped off the appointment letter and then waited. We were called to window 5 where this person took what documents were needed and gave back the rest. Only last years tax return, employer letter, I was handed back my pay stubs, other tax returns, bank statments (which they did not ever look at) or the bank letters and the only thing was the forms that were sent by the Embassy I did not have duplicates so Bert had to fill out 4 forms to have for copies. It passed the time away. He dropped them off without so now we waited and watched as others were called up.
Finally we were called. The first thing said to me was "I am glad to see you here". It was a very nice American girl and I say gi... read complete review
